NASHVILLE, TN -- Kevin Whitmore has joined Averitt Air as Service Manager, bringing 32 years of aircraft systems service experience to the Averitt Air team. Whitmore will provide in-house technical support for all Bombardier Learjet aircraft, including the Learjet 40XR, Learjet 45XR, Learjet 60XR, and classic Learjet aircraft.
At Averitt Air, Whitmore will lead the technical support team to provide world-class aircraft services from routine maintenance to troubleshooting the more complicated "hard-to-fix" issues, such as pressurization and hydraulic systems. During his 32-year career in aircraft maintenance, Whitmore has gained a reputation for his ability to troubleshoot complex problems. His expertise in diagnosing and solving hard-to-fix issues is widely recognized throughout the industry. Averitt Air, which is certified as a Bombardier Authorized Service Facility (ASF), provides Learjet aircraft maintenance services as well as technical support for structures, pressurization, and navigation systems, including the installation of avionics packages.
"With its ASF certification, Averitt Air is recognized as a world-class provider of maintenance services for Learjet aircraft. As one of only two ASFs in the mid-south area, we are able to meet the rising demand for cost-effective warranty and maintenance work in the Southeast," says Whitmore. "The Averitt Air team is flexible and customer-focused with a unique understanding of the needs of pilots and Learjet aircraft owners, especially since they're a charter services provider. I look forward to being a part of the Averitt Air team."
Whitmore began his career in aircraft maintenance with Learjet in 1975. From 1990 to 2007, Whitmore continued to provide technical support for Learjet aircraft with Bombardier Aerospace. In 2000, he moved to Bombardier's Field Service division, helping customers around the world with Learjet aircraft service issues, specializing in complex problems.
"Kevin's 32 years of technical support experience and his reputation as a master troubleshooter in solving complex maintenance challenges further strengthens the first-class level of support we provide to our customers," says Steve Gregory, Executive Vice President of Averitt Air. "Kevin understands the unique needs of pilots and owners, and treats every aircraft we service as if it were one of our own."
