NYCO Secures New Approval on ATR Aircraft for Nyco Grease GN 148
13 October 2015, Paris (France):
NYCO announced today it has secured a new approval for Nyco Grease GN 148, its latest multi purpose synthetic grease for airframe, to be used on ATR aircraft. This new approval completes the former approvals on Airbus and Boeing aircraft, making Nyco Grease GN 148 the last technology of multi-purpose grease airlines operating mixed fleets are looking for.
"Nyco Grease GN 148 enables the use of one single high performance grease for airframe lubrication, thus simplifying inventory and maintenance tasks while contributing to globally reducing Direct Maintenance Costs for operators." said Pedro Dasi, Program Development Manager at NYCO.
Recently, a major French airline selected Nyco Grease GN 148 for use in its dual fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft becoming the first operator to generalize the use of Nyco Grease GN 148 as multi purpose grease on a mixed fleet; thus rationalizing the number of lubricants used on its large fleet and simplifying maintenance tasks.
Approved against demanding specifications including BMS 3-33 B, AIMS 09-06-002, MIL-PRF-23827 C, SAE AMS 3052, Nyco Grease GN 148 can be used on virtually all commercial airframes in 90% of aircraft maintenance tasks requiring lubrication: actuators, doors, flaps, slaps, ball, roller or needle bearings, gears, Tail Horizontal Stabilizer (THS) among others.
Nyco Grease GN 148 is a synthetic NLGI 2 Grade greases fortified with anti-corrosion, antioxidant, anti-wear and extreme pressure additives.
