Chemetall Announces Organizational Changes for Aerospace Segment
Frankfurt a.M / Germany, September 18 2014. Chemetall, a division of Rockwood Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: ROC), appoints Hendrik Becker as new Global Segment Manager for the Aerospace business. His key focus is to provide strategic leadership as well as operational guidance in one of Chemetalls’ most important end-markets. Louis Verdier, currently Global Product Manager for Chemetalls’ Aerospace cleaner and paint stripping technologies, will take over the responsibility of the global non-destructive testing (NDT) business from Hendrik Becker. In this capacity, he will play a major role in expanding Chemetall’s NDT product range to other industries outside of the aerospace business.
Both Hendrik Becker and Louis Verdier started their career in 2001 with Chemetall and have held several positions since then. Hendrik Becker worked in controlling, sales and marketing before he took over responsibility for the Global Product Management for the NDT and corrosion inhibiting compounds business of Chemetall. He holds a degree in industrial engineering and management from the University of Paderborn, Germany.
Louis Verdier started as a R&D chemist in the Chemetall lab before he was appointed Production Site Manager in the French production plant Soissons for six years. Louis Verdier holds a Master Degree in Material Chemistry from the University of Metz in France and an MBA from the University of La Sorbonne, Paris, France.
