A three-position material selection switch sets optimal arc characteristics for steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. This enables the unit to connect to either 115- or 230-volt power simply by changing to the correct screw-in plug. It can carry up to an 8-inch spool of wire and an internal 12-ounce bottle of CO2 for approximately 25 minutes worth of arc time on mild steel.
