It’s the challenge that working in the aviation field and the impact of how Arora’s work improves the lives of the people using the facilities they design that Adam Oliver, senior vice president of Arora Engineers Inc., said gets him out of bed in the morning.
“I think large infrastructure projects are exciting, specifically around aviation, these projects are so big and so complicated that it’s always a new challenge – the challenge of how can you rethink a project or be innovative. How can we rethink the traditional role of what an engineer does to a project and bring that to an airport?”
Earning his MBA from Drexel University, and with more than 15 years of experience in sales and marketing focused around engineering and technology solutions, Oliver is responsible for strategic business planning and the direction and execution of marketing and growth strategies for all Arora companies and subsidiaries, and in addition, sits on the firm’s advisory committee.
Through Oliver’s leadership, Arora’s reputation as “airport people” has grown, cultivating new work and grown the aviation staff from 70 to 220 people. Oliver has also helped promote Arora’s work into the world of thought leadership by discussing Arora’s work through blogs and industry articles, communicating the firm’s expertise and contributing their knowledge to the aviation field.
Oliver is an active member in American Association of Airport Executives (AAAE), the Airport Consultants Council (ACC) and the Airports Council International - North America (ACI-NA).
“The aviation industry is so exciting right now. There’s so much going on and airports are growing and expanding, and we’re getting to help with that process, incorporating technology and new advancements into terminal, airfield, and landside projects, and making airports into a place that people want to go, not have to go,” he said.
