New York — The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has cleared Boeing's 787 Dreamliner jet for delivery to customers. "Boeing has made the necessary changes to ensure that the 787 Dreamliner meets all certification standards," the FAA said in a statement issued on Monday.
"The FAA will inspect each aircraft before an airworthiness certificate is issued and cleared for delivery. We expect deliveries to resume in the coming days," the statement added.
Boeing has been unable to deliver the widebody two-engine jetliner since May 2021 due to various production defects.
The FAA made it clear that it intends to keep a close eye on the Chicago-based planemaker in the future.
