Sunrise Airways Issues Travel Advisory for Customers Impacted By Hurricane Irma
PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti – (September 5, 2017) – Haiti-based Sunrise Airways (IATA: S6, ICAO: KSZ) announced today that it has instituted a flexible, customer-focused travel policy for passengers impacted by Hurricane Irma. The policy applies to customers holding confirmed reservations on Sunrise Airways flights to/from Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and Cap-Haitien for travel through September 12, 2017. Under terms of the policy, customers can change or cancel existing reservations without penalty. Eligible cancellation and change requests must be made by September 12, 2017.
“Our top priority is always the safety and security of our passengers and crew,” said Philippe Bayard, President of Sunrise Airways. “With this policy we live up to that commitment, providing a little extra peace of mind to help passengers weather this truly monumental storm.”
As an added precaution, Sunrise Airways has suspended all flights between Port-au-Prince, Haiti and its three destinations in Cuba – Havana, Santiago de Cuba, and Camaguey – for the September 7–8 period. Weather permitting, Sunrise Airways will resume its flights to Cuba on September 9, 2017.
