Ravn Recruits Top Airline Professionals to Take Alaska’s Largest Regional Airline to ‘the Next Level’
Anchorage, Alaska – Ravn Air Group (“Ravn”), Alaska’s leading regional air transportation and logistics company, announced that, effective immediately, it has reorganized its senior management team and installed a simpler and more efficient leadership structure following its successful recruitment of some of the airline industry’s most seasoned and successful professionals.
Ravn’s leadership reorganization will simplify the Air Group’s multi-layered executive management by eliminating several senior roles, and replacing them with a single, group-level officer team that will oversee FAA-approved leaders as well as managing the company’s three separate airlines: Hageland Aviation, Corvus Airlines, and Frontier Flying Services.
The corporate reorganization and recruitment efforts were led by Dave Pflieger, Ravn’s recently-appointed president and CEO.
“Operating with a ‘one company’ mindset, instead of three, will turbo-charge Ravn’s ability to capitalize on the vast potential of Alaska’s transportation and logistics market, drive a safety-first and customer-focused culture, and help our team create a world-class airline,” said Pflieger.
Members of Ravn’s newly-constituted executive team are:
- Steve Jackson, Chief Financial Officer
- George Snyder, Acting Chief Operating Officer & Executive Vice President of Safety
- Len Sloper, Senior Vice President, Airports, Cargo and Real Estate
- George Nichols, Chief Information Officer
- Wendy Yow, Vice President, Human Resources
Rounding out the airline’s new executive team will be a Chief Commercial Officer, for whom the company is actively recruiting.
“Ravn has an Alaska-proud past tied to an incredibly bright future. While I have no doubt that our new world-class leadership team will take us to even greater heights, I also want to extend Ravn’s thanks to our outgoing executives from Corvus, Hageland and Frontier. Our company is extremely grateful for their hard work, dedication and assistance during this leadership transition. Mr. Jim Hajdukovich, Mr. Jim Hickerson, Mr. John Hajdukovich, and Mr. Walter Dallis, all played key roles in getting us where we are today,” said Pflieger.
Ravn Air Group is owned by investment affiliates of private equity firms J.F. Lehman & Company and W Capital Partners, with one of the company’s original founders, the Hajdukovich family, retaining a minority interest.
