Satair Enters Agreement with International Water-Guard Industries for the Innovative Intelligent Water Quantity Pre-Select System
Satair has joined forces with International Water-Guard Industries (IWG) to reduce CO2 emissions across the globe on both Airbus and Boeing platforms. The agreement was signed today at the Dubai Airshow.
The agreement covers the innovative Intelligent Water Quantity Pre-Select System, which enables airlines to accurately control the amount of water loaded on an aircraft to ensure the flight only carries the water it has historically consumed, based on the data collected by the system. City pair data, seasonality, and the time of day all play a critical role in the amount of water consumed on commercial aircraft. The global initiative to reduce CO2 emissions will have an effect on aircraft efficiency by reducing the induced drag necessary to carry the excess weight.
Bart Reijnen, chief executive officer, Satair stated: “We are pleased to engage in this agreement with IWG who have developed an innovative technology that contributes to reducing carbon footprint in our industry.”
In addition to Pre-Select, Satair has signed an additional exclusive agreement for the Lavatory Hot Water Heater on the A320/321 for aftermarket support. This new technology delivers improved performance and weight reduction benefits along with increased reliability for Airbus operators.
Steven Bis, president, International Water-Guard Industries added: “Satair has a unique global presence and we look forward to bringing our products to the market through this extensive network.”
