Feb. 8, 2021

Latvian airline airBaltic in January 2021 has carried 44,400 passengers or 86 percent less than the year before. In January 2021, airBaltic performed 900 flights.

Martin Gauss, chief executive officer of airBaltic said, “Today we still maintain connectivity to major European business and transit hubs for those passengers that need to travel for essential reasons. It is a significant part of our commitment to the Baltic markets and the reason why our market share continues to grow despite lower traffic figures.”

During January 2021, the 15-minute flight punctuality indicator for airBaltic reached a level of 90 percent. This means that more than 90 out of every 100 airBaltic flights departed at the planned time or with a delay of no more than 15 minutes.

The safety and health of passengers is airBaltic’s top priority. airBaltic has introduced strong health measures and the flight operations follow the recommendations issued by authorities.
