The Indianapolis International Airport (IND) celebrates its first-ever nonstop flight from Indianapolis to Key West, Florida, starting Dec. 1.
“Key West is one of the most unique destinations in the United States, but until now it has been hard to get there,” said Indianapolis Airport Authority Executive Director Mario Rodriguez. “In December that changes – Hoosiers will be able to easily travel to the Florida Keys and enjoy everything this destination has to offer.”
Rodriguez said the Key West flight is the 21st in a growing line up of nonstop flights announced so far in 2021, and its marks the fifth new destination out of Indy that Allegiant has added this year.
“With its year-round sunshine, incredible beaches and attractions, Key West is one of the most sought-after destinations in the U.S. right now,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s senior vice president of revenue and network planning. “We expect it to be an even bigger draw for leisure travelers seeking an affordable, convenient vacation spot for warm winter getaways.”
The new nonstop route from Indianapolis International Airport (IND) to Key West International Airport (EYW) will operate twice weekly.
