Additionally, Atallah has spearheaded grant applications for five major airport clients, successfully securing over $5 million to date with more substantial funding in process.
“I was inspired to pursue a career in aviation early on as I saw an opportunity to perform impactful work on the aviation system but also on the larger community that each airport serves,” she said. “With the significant infrastructure investment and capital improvements needs at airports, I find daily motivation in helping out airports and aviation clients in finding solutions to the larger problems they face whether it involves planning, engineering or funding.”
Atallah’s influence extends into professional organizations where she chairs the TRB Young Members Council for Aviation, leading session planning for the 2025 TRB annual meeting and guiding nearly 100 young professionals. She also serves on TRB’s Aviation Economics and Forecasting and Aviation Administration and Policy committees. Previously, she chaired the Planning & Environmental Committee for the Airports Consultants Council, organizing FAA planning workshops and moderating panels. Her commitment to professional growth and industry influence led her to present at the Missouri Airport Managers’ Association and become a known resource for Midwest airports on grant opportunities.
Driven by her belief in airports as critical infrastructure assets, Atallah finds motivation in supporting airports to overcome complex challenges. She currently participates in WSP’s Accelerate leadership program, refining her management and communication skills while supervising project delivery for her team. A champion for work-life balance, Atallah navigates her demanding career alongside family life, embodying a “lead by example” approach. Her dedication to mentoring and promoting equity makes her a valued leader both at WSP and within the broader aviation industry.
