Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - TCR is very proud to welcome Safeair technical into the world of full service GSE rental and wishes to congratulate Safeair on the decision to take over 90 percent of the GSE fleet ordered with full battery electric power, a first for an operation of this scale in Malaysia.
Safeair has opted to hand the task of GSE management and maintenance to the global leader in GSE services, TCR. Leveraging TCR’s vast experience in electric GSE, Safeair technical have also positioned the business as a leader in the adoption of highly innovative, efficient and reliable battery powered GSE.
Also important for Safeair was a quick GSE delivery time for an urgent start date of the new contract. TCR was able to draw down on 600-plus available motorized assets globally to meet this need, another strength of the partnership provided by TCR that is critical in ground handling. Within four weeks of an agreement being finalised TCR had 80 percent of the fleet transferred to BKI, serviced, painted fresh and ready for action, many items less than two years old and fitted with all of the TCR safety features and upgrades.
Once the GSE is operating with Safeair on a daily basis, TCR will provide quick response day and night via mobile airside technical teams and also provide regular servicing, washing and painting for the fleet to a top standard utilising a specialised airside GSE facility inside Kota Kinabalu International Airport.
