Alton Aviation Consultancy Appoints Global Airline Practice Lead
Alton Aviation Consultancy is pleased to announce the appointment of Umang Gupta as global airline practice lead.
Gupta brings 20 years’ experience in airline strategy and revenue growth, having held leadership positions at United Airlines, JetBlue Airways, US Airways, and Sabre. His expertise extends across revenue management and pricing, planning, sales and distribution, marketing, brand management, advertising, non-airline partnerships, ancillary products, alliances and joint ventures, customer service, experience and loyalty.

Gupta will be based at Alton’s New York office and will oversee the consultancy’s support to airlines as they tackle their most challenging commercial, financial, and operational issues.
In his most recent role as head of domestic revenue management at United Airlines, Gupta delivered industry-leading unit revenue growth during the most turbulent time in the industry, while also leading the launch of United’s acclaimed Premium Plus service.
Previously at JetBlue, Gupta served as President of JetBlue Vacations where he developed the strategy to supercharge growth of JetBlue’s Vacations business and non-air travel products & partnerships, successfully quadrupling revenues. He also held senior roles in marketing and strategic planning and revenue analysis with the airline.
