Dwight H. Pullen, Jr. Named 2022 ACC Board of Directors Chair

The Airport Consultants Council (ACC) announces the election of Dwight H. Pullen Jr., National Core Market Leader, DPR Construction, as the chair of the 2022 ACC Board of Directors. Dwight assumed the position during the 43rd ACC Annual Conference & Exposition.

With 26 years of aviation experience, Pullen focuses on driving strategic growth nationally and internationally within the aviation infrastructure market sector, focusing on airport operational excellence and maximizing airport client engagement, as well as growing aviation talent. In his position as the National Core Market Leader for DPR Construction,  Pullen specializes in customer experience, account management and the aviation market, strategic growth in the airport sector, profitability, operational excellence, growing talent and maximizing customer engagement.

Pullen is a leading voice in the airport infrastructure sector, and has written several articles on airport infrastructure, minimizing impacts to operations at airports during construction, and alternative project delivery at airports. He is an industry leader, not only for his long standing involvement with ACC, but also through serving as an airport advisor with the International WELL Building Institute, as well as an advisor to Airbus Group on the Future of Airports. He is sought after for his leadership and experience in the Future of Airports.  

Pullen is the first African American to hold the position of Board Chair of ACC, and he also serves on the Board of Directors of the Airport Minority Advisory Council (AMAC), the non-profit trade association dedicated to advancing the participation and engagement of minorities and women in the airport development industry. In this capacity,  Pullen   will help accelerate ACC’s efforts to partner with AMAC in driving more diversity and inclusion in the industry.

Pullen received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and is also an alum of the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has a passion for Science Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) and ensuring that inner city communities are exposed to the STEM fields. Dwight volunteers for STEM related initiatives, development and education.
